Lilly Peek A Boo Two

Here is a second video of Lilly playing peek a boo. It is about a month old, she won't let us take new photos, she just stares at the camera now... but we will keep trying to get some more giggling videos of her!

Visiting With Grandmommy and Grandaddy Lawrence

We visited Grandmommy and Grandaddy Lawrence last weekend on a beautiful sunny and warm day. Here are some cute pictures of Lilly with them and enjoying the nice weather.

Here she is with Grandmommy and Grandaddy in the cute little red outfit they gave her.

Here she is with Daddy with a big smile on her face!

Standing up tall.

And here is when we think she starts to resemble a garden gnome (in the best way possible of course) Maybe its the hat..

Standing in the grass, she loves the grass.

Sitting and playing with grass with a giant smile! She loves the spring weather and getting outside.

Social Swimming Butterfly

We have been taking Lilly for swimming lessons every Saturday. She wasn't fond of water at first but now she loves swimming lessons, mostly because there are lots of people and babies there to socialize with. She spends the whole time making eye contact with the other parents in the pool, the instructors, people outside the pool and even the straining her neck to look at the life guard! Once she had their attention she made flirty eyes and smiled at them as if to say "Look how cute I am" and she is pretty cute! The instructor asked if she was always this happy and she really is... most of the time! Maybe she will be more of an extrovert than her parents!

Here she is with daddy looking at the baby and parent next to her.

Getting used to the water.

First Teeth, First "Words" and First Attempts at Crawling

It seems like Lilly is changing and doing new things every week now! Although she hates it we have been making her spend time on her tummy every day. If we provide motivation by putting her favorite toy (a shiny C-3PO doll) right out of reach she can move slightly to get it. But the coolest thing is that she can rotate herself 180 degrees.

Here she is reaching for C3PO with all her might.

And just a few minutes later she had rotated all by herself to face the other direction. Again the motivation (C3PO) was provided to encourage her to move.... but that is all we had to do! She is getting closer to moving on her own!

She has also been babbling like crazy and in the past three days she has said three "words." They are more word-like than actual words but still so cute! First she said "baby" on Thursday when she was practicing crawling. Then she said "dada" when she was cuddling on his lap outside enjoying the sun (see pictures below). Finally she said "mama" while helping me put laundry away. Hopefully it wasn't the action that she was connecting with those particular words... baby = crawling, dada = hanging out/cuddling are okay associations but mama = laundry is really lame!

Here is a shot of her soon after saying "dada." She thought it was pretty funny how excited we were.

Aww... finally a close up to show off her two new tiny teeth! And the facial rash that goes with teething, but she is still Oh so cute!!

Grandma and Grandpa's Bon Voyage Party!

We had a surprise going away party last Saturday for my parents. They left on their big adventure to travel around Europe and eventually end up in Italy where we will visit them in June after school gets out. We hope they are having fun but are missing them already!

Here are some precious pictures of Lilly at the party!

Here she is with Grandma and Grandpa.

Here is the blanket we gave Grandma and Grandpa to take with them so they can snuggle Lilly while they are away from her.

Flashback Friday - Then and Now

Lilly turned 7 months yesterday, time to do another Flashback Friday. The theme of today is her cute pink bear hat she wears all the time.

Here she was last October at a month old celebrating her Daddy's birthday.

And now still wearing the cute pink hat but filling it out much more.

Bonding With The Rogers' Boys - Beach Edition

We went to the beach for Easter weekend and had to make a trip to walk on the beach despite the Oregon Beach weather.

Here is Coen running and enjoying the beach.

The Dads and babies who were getting a lift in the tummy packs.

Ryan and Lilly.

I love this picture of Lilly smiling with the beach in the background.

The babies were so tired after the beach trip they took a little snooze.
