Baby In A Basket

Recently Lillian discovered that it is really fun to get in and out of this Lilly sized basket and be pushed or pulled around the house, she will also push the basket around with toys in it. She really does have a house full of great toys, but the basket is still so much more fun. Usually we use it to store burp rags so it is also fun to put the rags and out of the basket. So many fun things to do with this new discovery.

Carefully crawling into it, so far no major falls.

Ready to be pushed around, her favorite is to chase Logan in it.

Pulling rags out of it.

Little Beggers

In making attempts to close off the kitchen from Lilly she and Lucy decided to beg on the other side of the gate. I ended up getting some cheese out (it was close to lunch time) and fed Lilly bites while Lucy looked on hungrily. Lucy gets her fair share of bites from Lilly.

Sleeping Like a Baby

Lilly is growing up fast so we had to capture the classic bum-in-the-air baby sleeping pose.

Eating Comfortably

Not sure why but they other day Lilly would only eat while her foot was also up on the tray, so comfortable!

Standing On Her Own

Lilly has started standing more and more. Here are some funny pictures of her watching the dogs outside.

What are those dogs up to?

Hands on her hips, she is not happy about those naughty dogs barking outside!

Helping Herself to Blackberries

In order to live more sustainably we have been preserving foods from the summer harvest this year. I took Lilly with me to the local organic farm stand and loaded up the car with stuff to freeze, jam and can. I didn't think about it and put the blackberries right next to her.

A few minutes later I heard some loud smacking from the backseat. She had helped herself to handfuls of blackberries from the flat.

Here she is when we got home, very happy with herself.

Another picture of the messy girl.

And a picture of all the stuff we got at the farm stand and some of our already canned goods in the background.

Stuffed Animal Fan!

The other night while I was jamming raspberries Lilly and Daddy got some extra play time together. Lilly LOVES stuffed animals now! She would hand stuffed animals to her "Da Da" so he could tickle her with each one. It was very cute!

She can no longer go into toy aisles at stores without wanting stuffed animals and other toys. I think we will not be going shopping as much, which could be a good thing! As you can tell by the picture she has more than enough toys and this is just a small fraction of what she has in the house!

Hosting Baby Group

We hosted baby group for the first time last week. We won't be able to host much since I am back to work in a week and a half but it was so fun having tons of babies crawling/walking or in Lilly's case scooting around our house. The dogs were happy to come out of the cage after all the babies left, there were crumbs EVERYWHERE! But it was such a fun time, amazing our babies are so grown up now!

Lilly stole someone else's teething cookie. They were all standing up on the back of the couch.

Toys, Toys and more Toys!

Lilly and Evan crawled after each other all around the house later on. Here Lilly is about to get a smack, but she knows how to give smacks back too!

Evan doing his grumpy face when the camera comes out.

Alex, Lilly and Evan checking out the toy box. Alex is a few months younger, but getting ready to be mobile soon! I got to snuggle him awhile and realized how much I miss that non-mobile cuddly stage!

Portland Bridge Pedal

A couple weekends ago we did the Portland Bridge Pedal ride with the Rogers Family across 6 of the main bridges in Portland. It was an awesome event!

Here we are with Portland (and some random kid I should have cropped out) in the background.

Before the race, ready to go!

The boys in their trailer.

Lilly and her constant attempts to get the helmet off.

Lilly looking like such a little girl in this picture, getting too big too fast!

Lilly Loves Raspberries!

Raspberries are in season and Lilly loves them! At the farmers market she screamed happily and very loudly when she first tried them. This is later that evening when she was very messy faced and found out that all the raspberries were gone. She was pretty sad.

"More Please!"

Maybe there are some in the box still...

Sad and messy faced.

How OUR Stroller gets cleaned

The ever helpful Lucy has figured out how to crawl up into the stroller to clean it out after Lilly has left behind O's and other delightful treats.

We took Lillian to her first concert this week, she had so much fun!

Rocking out on Da Da's shoulders.

What a little Rock Star!

Trying to get out of a cuddle hold with Ma Ma, she really wanted to keep moving!

Our attempt at taking a family picture.

Daddy and Lilly waiting for the concert to start.

All ready to walk to the concert.

And here they are with all the gear we carried... needless to say we decided to take the bus back home!

Zoo Trip With The Rogers

We took Lillian to the Zoo for the first time over the weekend with the Rogers. It was a beautiful day. The kids had fun. Lilly loved seeing animals and all the people. Here are some highlights.

Lilly watching everything from the stroller while becoming a sticky strawberry eating mess.

Eli also watching everything, what a cutie pie.

Coen tickling Eli, they are so funny together.

Our whole family watching the Elephants, Lilly's favorite. She laughed and laughed at them!

Taking a break at the kid play area, Coen showed off his running skills!

Lilly enjoying her stuffed Zoo Elephant. Lilly really has not been attached to stuffed animals until she came home with this doe eyed Elephant, she loves it and wants to snuggle it and drag it around with her.

Farm Fresh Eats

We always hit the Farmer's Market every week to get some farm fresh goodies. I realized last week that everything on Lilly's tray was all from the farmer's market or was grown locally and felt kind of proud... then we ate out for the next two nights, but got one night right!

Here she is with all her farmer's market produce, locally grown beef (we bought a fourth of a cow last summer), and Tillamook Cheese. She loved slurping the insides out of the tomatoes! She loves fruit and veggies!
