Disneyland - Staying Up Late and Fireworks

Lilly was super excited to get to stay up really late and enjoy the fireworks.

Both the girls were EXHAUSTED on the walk back to the car!

Friday Flashback - Fourth Of July

We had a great fourth of July with the Lawrence side of the family. Swimming, hanging out and having fun!

We didn't get a picture of the fireworks.. they were really lacking in excitement but the kids enjoyed them.

Disneyland - Toon Town

Lilly enjoyed Toon Town. It was too hot to wait in line to see Minnie and she was mainly into the princesses anyways. Here are some cute pictures of her in toon town.

Disneyland - Lions OFF Exhibit

During our Disneyland trip we went on a trip to San Diego Zoo.. or tried to... It was a comedy of errors. The GPS sent us to The San Diego Safari Park instead. Then ALL Lilly wanted to see was a lion since she is obsessed with the Lion King movie.. but Lions were OFF exhibit. 

To try to cheer her up Ryan took her into the gift shop and offered to buy her ANY lion she wanted. She chose a spendy one! It was hot, the kids were grumpy and Lilly didn't give up on the lions easily. Not to mention we managed to take a huge pack of frozen raw meat instead of the bag of ice out of the freezer to keep our cooler cold... by that point everything was pretty funny...

Lilly posing with her new lion named Simba who she adores. She has since added more lions to her collection and sleeps with a whole pride of stuffed lions every night. She will also be having a Lion King birthday party this year. She just can't get enough!

And neither can Vivi.. she is OBSESSED with anything Lilly likes and no substitute will do! She quietly grabs Simba whenever she can get to him and slobbers all over him. Now that she can move Lilly really has her hands full trying to keep her Lions safe from her sister.

Disneyland: Lunch With The Princesses

While we were in Disneyland we had lunch with the princesses. It was a nice break from the heat and the girls loved it.

Vivi enjoyed the food!

Lilly sampled some but once the princesses started parading in she was too excited to eat! We already dedicated an entire post to her favorite princess Belle so she is not featured here.

Disneyland - Meeting Princess Belle

Lilly made a special connection with princess Belle, she just adored her! She even nuzzled Belles nose, so cute! We had a special lunch with the princesses too, it was quite a special experience for miss Lilly.

This picture is just SO cute, Lilly's little face, she was SO excited. Of course we had to get her a Belle dress too while in Disneyland!

Disneyland - Happy Sisters

Here are some cute shots of the two of them on the trip together. My Mom bought them the cutest Minnie mouse dresses. Lilly liked to dance and twirl in hers, Vivi liked to eat hers.

Disneyland - Kiddee Rides

We didn't do a whole lot of rides besides the kiddee ones like Dumbo and the Teacups. Lilly liked most of the outdoor rides but some of the indoor ones were a little too dark and scary for her. She loved the princess pavillion most of all, more pictures of her and the princesses to come.

She really enjoyed the tea cups.

Disneyland - The Princess Castle!

For weeks prior to our trip Lilly would talk about how she was going to the see the princess castle. She was VERY excited to finally see it in person!

Walking through the gate of the princess castle, Lilly was in awe but Vivi was not all that into it.

Disneyland - Arrival At The Happiest Place On Earth

We went to Disneyland last week for the first time with the girls. Luckily my parents and extended family and friends went too so it wasn't easier on us weary parents. Lilly had a BLAST! She LOVED meeting the princesses and Vivi was a good little trooper. Overall it was a great trip! More pictures to come!
