Showing Off Her Toes

Lillian has discovered her cute little toes. They are very fun to play with and show off.

Showing off the toes and blowing bubbles, another new fun activity.

All Smiles.

Holding up her feet as high as they will go.

All that playing gets tiring!

Lilly Really Wants Real Food

Lilly is trying so hard to show us that she thinks she is ready for some of that really interesting stuff we put into our mouths. It is getting harder and harder to eat in front of her. Plus she is always trying to grab our food too. Here she is showing off her skills with an empty spoon. Supposedly we are supposed to wait until 6 months to feed her real food but we might have to cave in early. She just seems so ready!

Windy Sunday Walk

We wanted to attempt to walk to our favorite McMenamins that is only a mile away since it was beautiful and sunny outside. The only thing we didn't think about was how windy it was. It was kind of miserable getting there but the way back the wind was at our backs so it was a good adventure overall. Next time we will remember the cover that goes over the jogging stroller. It is meant for the rain but would have helped Lilly with the wind. She was pretty insulated in there but we got a few grumpy looks from her on the way there.

Here is Lillian and Daddy starting out on our walk.

Here is our little princess all ready to go.

All smiles before we headed out.

Lucy's Very Own Post

Lucy loves having Lillian as part of her life for many reasons... and not all of them are related to dirty burp rags, spit up and smelly diapers. She loves how comfortable all the baby stuff is and has slowly taken some of it over.
She loves the boppy for naps on the couch!

But nothing can beat the bouncy chair that is oh so comfortable for naps and also provides a little spring action when she is ready to jump out of it. She spent over an hour in it a few different times over the weekend. Such a silly dog! I am sure Lilly will love to laugh at Lucy when she is older and can laugh at all the silly things Lucy does.

Valentine's Day Picture Bloopers

Lillian is more and more fascinated by the world around her and loves to chew on things and touch soft things. This made taking her picture a bit more challenging than usual and resulted in some funny blooper pictures. Sometimes the silly pictures are even cuter than the sweet ones.

She was constantly chewing on the zipper portion of her jacket.

And the heart shaped tab on the zipper.

We did get a couple of smiles but they were crazy giggling smiles.

And she loved touching the super soft blanket.

Lillian and Mommy

On this day we had just returned from a walk out in the semi-sunny weather and had to pose for a cute picture with her adorable white hat. She immediately broke out the huge smiles and posed for the camera.
She just has the best smiles!!

Teething is Terrible!

Lillian has started teething and she is pretty miserable! We thought it might be an ear infection and had it checked out but it looks like it is just teething and she has a low pain threshold. She is chewing on everything and making sure everything gets a good thorough "mouth check."

We just hope each tooth that comes in doesn't hurt her as bad as this first one!

Beary Cute Baby

We took lots of walks lately with the weather getting a little bit better. Saturday was lovely but of course we forgot the camera in all the excitement! It was warmer and sunny but now it is snowing... go figure! We snapped this happy picture in her bear coat that she has just outgrown. We sure think she is beary cute!

Flashback Friday - Then and Now

Lillian still likes to sleep wrapped up tight in her sleep wraps... Hopefully she will outgrow the need for a sleep wrap before she outgrows the largest wraps we have.

Here she is at one and a half months old in the small sleep wrap she started with... shocked by the flash of the camera.

And here she is now at 4 and a half months old in the larger sleep wrap.... smiling sweetly for the camera, she loves to have her picture taken now.

Airplane Play Time

Lilly likes to play airplane with her Daddy!

Here she is blowing spit bubbles.

And drooling.

And as always checking out the camera.

The Sunny Side of Life

Lillian has a pretty sunny personality and loves to play more and more each day.

She loves to smile for the camera and play in her exersaucer.

She loves the smiling sun on her exersaucer and is always trying to get it in her mouth.

She still needs help bending it down all the way but gets so excited to chew on it.

Lillian's First Typing Lesson

Lillian has become increasingly interested in all things electronic (her Father's Daughter!). One evening she decided to give typing a try. The only unfortunate thing was that she was wearing such a dirty bib while typing for the first time.

Very focused on the keys.

Thinking hard about what she wanted to communicate.

Getting a little frustrated as she made stuff open and close on the computer screen.. she really preferred the function keys.

After some frustration her final message that she typed was "G gh". Even as I type this entry she is very interested in the keyboard. Here is the message she wants to share now:

Paper Towels = Fun!!

Who knew paper towels could be so much fun! A great toy has been sitting around our kitchen all along. Plus no trees were harmed in this adventure (recycled paper towels) so it was a fun time all around!

Lillian discovering that not only did the roll unravel easily, the paper was also tasty.

Oh no! Caught!

It just kept unrolling!

Finally at the end of the roll.

Mission Accomplished!!!

Then it was time to celebrate in the bumbo tasting every piece!

One of her most favorite toys so far!
