Kind Of Playing Together

For one of the first times they girls actually started playing together a little bit. They are really cute being silly together. Lilly is pretty patient with how aggressive and pushy Vivi can be and Vivi thinks everything Lilly does is awesome.  They are also wearing their darling cupcake outfits, what sweet little girls!

Princess and The Frog Movie Night

We had a family movie night this weekend. Since we were watching Princess and The Frog she wanted to dress up as Tiana and Vivi wanted to dress up too.

I Want To Go To Hawaii.. tonight

Lilly came home from school on Thursday and said she wanted to go to Hawaii... that night... Her best friend at school went over the summer. I told her maybe we will go someday in the summer but she insisted that we could go that night, all we had to do was go to the airport and get on a plane and go.

When asked what she wanted to do in Hawaii her ambitious plans included: playing and sleeping.

Over the course of the evening she pretended the kitchen was Hawaii and rode her bike there often. Then she decided flying there was better. She put on my wings from Halloween and flew to Hawaii. What a cute, silly little girl!

Footie Pajamas!

Lilly was jealous of Vivi wearing warm footie pajamas every night so when I saw the bigger toddler footies for sale we bought a supply. The girls love wearing their footie pajamas around the house any chance they get.

Our Little Ballerina

For the past month or so we have been taking Lilly to Saturday dance classes at a community center. It is called Ballet: Where Dreams Begin and it really is ballet basics, not just a dance around to music kind of class. Her teacher is a ballerina who performs in shows in town and she is more strict than I expected for a class for 3 year olds. Lilly is finally looking the part with her ballerina clothes and shoes.

New Curtains

Thanks to Grandmommy Lawrence Vivian has some curtains in her room now! They are beautiful, girly and so much better than the plain blackout shade she has had. She really likes them, especially the ruffles!

Cute Birthday Coat

Vivi adores this new coat she got for her birthday from the Lawrences in Oklahoma. She gets lots of attention when she is wearing it and will voice a very sad "No" when it is time to take it off. Here she is showing off how cute she is in her little peacoat.

On a side note I had no idea the mat at Lillys dance class was that dirty.. yuck!

Big Girls Dining Together

Now that Vivi is spending time in the 1 year old room every day at daycare it was important to have her start sitting at a little table instead of the high chair. At daycare she was not thrilled with the switch to a little table and would get her snack and crawl off to eat it in a corner only to be picked up and brought back. She was always telling her teachers "No" and shaking her head to protest being made to sit at the table with the other babies. I have no idea why she would want to eat on the floor! We don't let her do that at home. In fact if food is ever near the ground the dogs will steal it.

 At home she adjusted pretty easily to sitting at the table with Lilly, but Lilly missed sitting at the big table with us. Now they like to dine together, chat, giggle, push the table back and forth and Vivi does a fair share of food stealing. It is so cute Vivian is finally old enough to do big girl things!

Flashback Friday - Ryan's Birthday

We celebrated Ryan's birthday by going out to eat with our families. Lilly helped him with the candles, cake and unwrapping stuff and Vivi clapped a lot. We had a lovely time celebrating his birthday!

Pumpkin Carving

We didn't pictures of us carving pumpkins this year since Vivi has been miserable with teething over the last week and required being held the whole time. And this was the best we could get of the two of them sitting with our completed pumpkins. Lilly did have fun decorating her pumpkins and admiring our carved pumpkins. We also cooked pumpkin seeds for the first time, they were a big hit!

Kids Creepy Halloween Dinner

We had a Kid Themed Creepy Halloween Dinner with the Rogers the night before Halloween. The kids had zombie carrot fingers, mummy hot dogs dipped in blood, mandarin orange brains on a stick and grape eye balls. Then we made bat cup cakes for dessert. The bat cupcakes are going to be a tradition at our house since the day I met Ryan I was buying supplies for the cupcakes to make with my second grade class.
