Meeting Baby Vivian

Here are some pictures of Lillian meeting her baby sister for the first time. She was beyond excited to meet her and have a baby sister! She is doing really well with the baby and loves her very much. She was really happy to have "baby my house, mama!"

Meeting her sister for the first time. Saying "Baby!" really loud.

Giving the baby a kiss.

Reading her big sister book, she likes to read it every day now!

Welcome Baby Vivian!

Welcome to the world precious little Vivian Eloise Lawrence born 10-20-10 at 4:45am. She weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and is 20 and 3/4 inches long. She is darling and sweet. We are so happy to finally meet our second sweet little baby girl!

Now that we have two children we find ourselves taking less pictures but she is beautiful and lovely all the same! Here are a few of our darling little sweet Vivian.

Flashback Friday - Pumpkin Patch Then and Now

Lilly has grown so much since last year at this time! It is all going way too quickly. Here are pictures from the pumpkin patch this year and last year:

This year posing in the hay.

Last year hanging out in the hay.

Lilly Suddenly LOVES Puzzles!

We have had a few puzzles lying around that Lilly has shown no interest in (other than to dump the pieces out of) until recently. Now she LOVES puzzles and asks to do them once a day (or more!) I have tried to get videos of her doing them because the conversation she has with herself is just SO cute! But she immediately says "No Mama!"

During her puzzle time she will say 'This one match?" "No Match" or "This One Match!" She will have a running commentary on the colors of the animals like "This pink one", "This one purple" But the best is when she suddenly yells out "Lilly did it!" after placing what she felt was a more challenging piece. For the most part she completes the puzzles correctly and enthusiastically moves onto the next one. It is also a plus that for some reason we have allowed her to sit and lay on the table to do puzzles... probably because she is just SO cute to watch in action!

Building Forts

Since we have all been sick with one thing or another lately we spent most of the rainy weekend taking it easy and trying not to share our germs with others. Lilly was also feeling less than her ideal but despite being sick she still had tons of energy! After playing with lots of toys, doing puzzles and lots of dancing Lilly and her Dada decided to build a quick fort. She loved playing peek-a-boo and saying "I see you!"

Pumpkins My House Mama!

Lilly has been keenly aware of all the pumpkins suddenly appearing on porches through out the neighborhood since the beginning of the month. Every day she has been scouting out porches to see if they have pumpkins and asking repeatedly: "Why no pumpkins my house mama?" and stating: "I want pumpkins my house Mama."

So FINALLY we made it to the pumpkin patch and brought home some pumpkins for HER porch. We even decorated the whole house over the weekend. Lilly claimed some of the decorations for her own and keeps them in a basket on her table. She also claimed a decorative Halloween mirror that she keeps at her table and laughs at her self in.

Heres Lilly and her Daddy bringing the prize pumpkins to the porch.

Very proud of the pumpkins she chose for herself and her baby sister.

Finally placing pumpkins on the porch!

She was excited about the pumpkins but was not interested in posing anymore. Maybe we will eventually post more pictures of her on the porch now that all the decorating is done. But for now she is content to have pumpkins at HER house!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We made it to the pumpkin patch before the downpours started over the weekend. We enjoy Leopold Farms where there are lots of things for toddlers to do. Lilly was able to do so much more this year!

Riding on a mechanical "neigh"

Posed on the prickly hay bail.

Coming out of the hay maze with her Daddy.

Whispering "Hi Neigh" to the real pony.

Searching for the perfect pumpkins.

She picked out a Mama sized one and a Dada sized one.

Walking through the pumpkin patch.

She also chose a Lilly sized pumpkin as well as one for her baby sister.

She also needed some extra baby pumpkins. You can never have too many baby sized objects and Lilly does have many babies to take care of at home she can provide pumpkins for.
