Siena and More - Last Post This Trip

We are down to our last few days until we head home. Traveling with Lilly was a lot harder than we expected! We didn't make it to the Cinque Terre... the additional train ride was too much to take on... hopefully someday we will make it there! We needed a lot more down time than we had expected. We go to the Amalfi coast and then we will be in Rome for the last little bit of our trip. We are not looking forward to the plane ride home, hopefully it will go quickly and she will sleep more than the plane ride here. This summer will probably be our last time traveling long distance for a few years.
These all loaded in reverse order and three of them loaded twice and I cannot delete them.

We had a local lady my parents have befriended come and make a traditional Umbrian dinner, Lilly slept through some of it. She is so cute, despite the caked on sunscreen on her head.
Here is an Umbrian specialty for this time of year, fried zucchini blossoms.

The last few days of our time at the Villa the Wilson family came and joined us. Lilly loves their two daughters Kenzie and Lydia. Here they are in the pool.

Lilly in her floatie enjoying the pool time.

Eating two gelato cones at once.

Sitting in the square in Siena with the horse track they set up for the Il Palio races behind her with fresh hoof prints.

Us in Siena's square where they were setting up for Il Palio. We weren't able to attend the race. It would have been too much heat and time for Lilly, but we got to see Siena all set up for the races.

Napping after an exhausting train ride from Lucca to Siena.
