Lots Of Swimming!

Our first week of summer started with a bunch of swimming! I was able to get Lilly a free week of swimming lessons at the community center (after standing in line a long time). She got to take lessons with 4 of her buddies we met at baby group when she was a little baby. I did not chance taking the camera with all our other gear since I had to swim with her each day. On Friday night she got to swim again in her Grandparents' pool with Ryan. She LOVES to swim! 

Some highlights from her week of swimming were calling the life jacket they had her wear at swim lessons a "wa wa coat" and standing on the bench in the locker room prior to swim lessons yelling "Lilly swim!" loudly and laughing. A highlight for me was the fact that she took really long naps all week (2 and a half to 3 and a half hours a day!) after swimming in the mornings! Almost made having to wear a maternity swim suit worth while... almost...

 At our last photo shoot Lilly pretended to cook up some pasta and had some cute smiles! She was very concerned about the lack of water in the pot. She pays close attention to everything! 

 

                

My Ball, My Ball, My Ball!

These are not the best pictures but Lilly has this adorable new "game" of running around our kitchen island chanting "My ball, My ball, My ball" over and over again. She will run and run until she is all sweaty. Occasionally we ask her what color the ball is and a lot times she gets the colors right.

Big Girl Bed!!!!!

Lilly got a new BIG GIRL BED this weekend! She started trying to climb out of her crib last week so it was time! We saw this adorable bed at IKEA where Lilly loved crawling in and out of every bed and saying 'night, night." The bed eventually turns into a twin bed too as she grows bigger and bigger.

Since we took the rocking chair out of her room to toddler proof the room  (she liked to stand up on it and jump off) we had to replace it with something. We  made a little book nook for her. She loves to sit criss cross and "read" books.

Lilly has also started potty training again (after a long break) and is doing so well! We might be able to potty train her this summer after all!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Lilly has such a great Da Da! It is so cute how Lilly thinks everything her Da Da does is very funny. She adores him!
