Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch at Lieopold Farms a few weeks ago on a lovely sunny day. The girls had a wonderful time and were beyond excited!

Lilly, Collector of Leaves

This fall Lilly has become obsessed with collecting and keeping leaves that have fallen. She wants to keep all the leaves "forever and ever" and is bringing them home from school as well as when we go on walks. So we have started doing some art projects with some of them. Here she is painting leaves with an over the top smile. I tried to get her to do a normal smile but this was the face she made the whole time.

 

Rainy Days Are Here Again!

The girls were really excited for the rainy days to arrive because they could finally wear their raincoats, rainboots and carry their umbrellas. It seems like whenever I try to make an effort to have special memories it backfires but on days like this they are beyond thrilled to go on a simple walk in the rain and jump in puddles. Lilly kept saying, "This is the best day, this is the day I've been waiting for!"

Vivi is 2!

As usual I am behind on posts but we didn't forget about Vivi turning 2! She had a Colorful Musical Brunch with lots of family and friends, the only problem was she wasn't all that into it. Here are pictures in totally random order.

Lilly was really into the party (as usual) and helped get all the toddler friends instruments. She really wanted to wear a fancy dress to the party so she could "dance a lot and be fancy."

 





 

She loved a rainbow wig she got and the baby R2D2.

 

And birthday cupcakes made her very happy!

 

But the best part for Vivi was playing after everyone had gone.

 



 

 Overall she had a good day and is such a sweet, loving and happy little 2 year old!



Tae-Kwon-Do

Lilly started taking Tae-Kwon-Do this fall on Saturdays and she LOVES it! Her teacher gave her a makeshift headband one day as a prize for following directions and trying hard. She is also taking a REAL ballet/tumbling/tap dance class every Wednesday and will start piano lessons with grandmommy and community center classes for soccer and swimming later on in the fall. She is a very active girl so keeping her busy is important! Vivi on the other hand is more laid back and cuddly right now so she is getting to enjoy some special alone time with one parent while Lilly gets her wiggles out!  Vivi does have a music/instrument class at daycare and gets REALLY into it! Vivi loves music, singing and dancing!

 

Big Girl Bikes!

Lilly got a big girl bike for her birthday, she was so excited! Vivian now gets to ride Lilly's old tricycle she has coveted for over a year. Sadly, both girls have steep learning curves before they can ride their bike or tricycle. So we are taking SLOW walks around the block as Lilly learns to ride. Vivi now complains the tricycle is a "baby bike" and won't ride it often. When she does try to ride it she falls off or insists "it not working, mama!" and sadly says "get da stroller mama." Often times our bike rides include lots of crying and complaining. Yet, they still beg to ride bikes A LOT!

 

First Day Of Preschool

 

Here are the girls on their first day back to preschool this year. Lilly wasn't totally thrilled since she was starting back before her best friend was back but she adjusted quickly. Both girls have great teachers and lots of friends. They LOVE going to preschool each morning which makes life easier!
