Baking Cookies

We baked some sugar cookies for Halloween. It was the first time Lilly really wanted to help. Most of the help included eating as much dough as possible. Here are some photos of her helping out.

Very excited to get her hands on that cookie dough.

Getting started.

Yum! Finally a mouth full of delicious dough. She kept trying to get handfuls of it to take with her.

Candy Monster

In order to share this post we must admit we have broken into the Halloween candy early.. That being said Lilly has found the hiding place and has been trying to help herself to some sweet treats. She has also started growling/roaring just in time for Halloween. Here are some pictures of our Candy Monster in action!

Finding the candy stash.

Trying so hard to open one.

Still can't figure out how to get through the wrapper.

Pumpkin Carving

Here are some pictures of Lilly displaying our carved pumpkins and of the family carving event.

Lilly's pumpkin, no we didn't give her knives this year.

She doesn't like different textures and was pretty grossed out by the pumpkin guts.

Visiting With the Hortons

The Hortons came to stay with us last weekend to attend another friend's wedding. I went to college with both of them and hadn't met their daughter Tori yet. Tori is 4 months older than Lilly. The girls were fast friends and had lost of fun playing together. It was so nice to meet baby Tori and to see the girls play. The girls both had lots of fun at the wedding, and so did we!

Us trying to take a picture with the babies.

The girls playing before dinner at Hopworks Urban Brewery, a VERY kid friendly place.

Checking out the Orangutans during our trip to the zoo.

And a picture of my big grown up girl. Couldn't resist including this one.

Pumpkin Patch

Here are some pictures of our trip to the pumpkin patch. Lilly was quite popular in her pumpkin outfit. We weren't the only ones that went home with a picture of her! Her pumpkin duds combined with her super social personality made for a fun outing.

Checking out the field of pumpkins.

Walking all by herself to the pumpkins.

Another one of her walking, can't get over how cute it is to see her walk everywhere.

Riding back to the car with the pumpkins.

After playing in the kid play area.

Forced to pose for more pictures.

Walking in the kid's maze with Da Da.

Posing on the hay bale.

One Year Old Baby Group Birthday Bash

We had a big Monkey themed birthday bash to celebrate our little monkeys turning 1 at baby group. Here are some pictures of our cute little party.

Monkey cupcakes, thanks to Louise!

My attempt at art work.

Lilly managing to get frosting everywhere!

Every once in awhile we attempt to take a whole group picture, every time it is so funny because none of them will stay in one place. Here they are wearing the tie-dye socks Joey's parents made for them as party gifts, such a cute gift!

And after they were all messy they went and played in the sprinkler, it was a great party!

This picture is so cute but what is even funnier is that right after this the water went into her face and she got upset and I was oblivious because I was trying to figure out how to get a video of her (she was screaming happily and going nuts beforehand). She had to be rescued by another Mom. Poor Lilly!

Thanks, We Feel Very Loved!

Thank you to everyone during this very difficult week and rough last weekend. We feel very loved and supported through all this. What a crazy weekend with emergency surgery! I am recovering slowly but getting better every day. Ryan has done a wonderful job taking care of Lilly and we have really appreciated all the help from our parents when she was sent home sick from daycare. Thanks for all the flowers, phone calls, words of encouragement, meals, etc etc etc. Thank you all again and again!
